B · Place
Drag a field. It snaps to its cell.
Every field gets a coordinate, so signers see exactly where to sign, and so does the audit trail.

D · Route
Signers move through the grid in order.
The next person gets the email only after the one before them signs. Or switch it off and send to everyone at once.
Each cell is an entry in the audit trail: who, what, and when, to the second.
F · Seal
Sealed with a fingerprint you can check.
When the last cell is signed, the file gets its SHA-256 fingerprint and a certificate. Change one character and all 64 cells change with it.

K · FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
K2Is a GridSign signature legally binding?
Yes, for most business documents in the United States. Signatures collected through GridSign are designed to meet the federal ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, including New York's Electronic Signatures and Records Act. Wills and some court filings still need a signature on paper.
K3What do the cell coordinates mean?
Each page is laid out on a grid. A field placed in column C, row 7 is C7. Signers see the same positions, and the audit trail records which field was signed, by whom and when.
K4Can I set the order people sign in?
Yes. Number the signers and each one gets the email only after the person before them has signed. Switch it off to send to everyone at once.
K5How does someone check that a copy is the signed one?
Every certificate lists the SHA-256 fingerprint of the completed file. Open Verify in your GridSign dashboard, drop the copy and compare. The file is hashed in the browser and never uploaded.
K6Do signers need an account?
No. Each signer gets an email with a private link, signs in the browser and receives the finished file with the certificate.
K7Why do you verify my account before I can send?
Signature requests are a favourite of impersonators. A person reviews every sender, usually within one business day. Until then you can explore the dashboard with example documents.
K8Do you send text messages?
No. GridSign communicates by email only.
